Trophy Wall

I’m definitely not in the demographic for this ad because I don’t live in Colorado, although if I had cancer and was seeking the best doctor to treat it, state lines wouldn’t really hold me back.  But still, I don’t have cancer and don’t know anyone that has cancer, so I’m not part of the psychographic target for the message.

The strategy for this ad is to position The University of Colorado’s Cancer Center as arguably the best in the country for treating cancer,  and to grab attention by using a visual that is both commonplace and yet never seen before.  The visual alone tells the audience exactly what they need to know; that the University of Colorado Hospital is excellent at treating cancer.  But the copy at the bottom reinforces what the image already states and gives the ad a more serious tone.
