The Best a Man can Get

The target demographic in this ad is males that care about how they look to others.  Gillette body wash is a product that men use and Gillette itself is a men’s brand. Needless to say, this is a demographic that I am not a part of.

The strategy here is t sell performance in everyday life, such as a job, as well as other aspects of life, such as social encounters. The ad communicates that the body wash is essential for all parts of life.

Another strategy is to sell attractiveness and possibly acceptance through the use of the woman and the clothes the man is wearing. It is communicating that the body wash will make women attracted to you.
