This Ad came out of Sports Illustrated and is defiantly geared toward the average mid-20 year old male, whom is very interested in sports. This target audience is obviously someone who is not only interested in sports, but also active in sports. They are trying to sell the product based upon durability. In this specific Ad they are portraying it’s durability using a muddy sports field. To play on different physchographics this same concept could be used in other magazines. For example, if it were used in Seventeen or Cosmo they could show girls at the mall, hands full of bags, with the camera taking a tumble.
