Just be yourself.

Sometimes when you look at an advertisement you think, how could there possibly be a strategy behind this? No matter how off the wall or completely pointless an ad may seem a group of very smart and creative people spent a lot of time creating it. Nothing is created in advertising just to exist; it all has a message to relay.

Our goal is to find this strategy and try to understand it. In most cases you can figure out the strategy by just looking at the ads imagery and copy. Sometimes it is more complicated and you need to think about whom the audience is targeting to receive the message.

Sometimes the best way to find the ad strategy is to just ask yourself what the advertisement is saying to you. You may not be the target audience but as a future creative ad strategies student you already know the basics tools of advertising.
